IRCTC recently revamped it’s old website to new dynamic website that looks very much similar to any other booking site.
When I first used it today, I felt as if using the Redbus or BookMyShow website at glance. I haven’t spent too much time in exploring the various options however, I found the revamped site quite intuitive.
I used by existing old website credentials to log in and it was a smooth transition. I couldn’t find the option to book a tatkal ticket, maybe I need to look very keenly.
Coming back to the topic, one can easily register in IRCTC website and book tickets online. Visit the website and look for registration or sign up link (located at the top or left side of the desktop screen).
Registration form would even ask some very personal items like Aadhar card, Pan Card, etc. And you may even need to verify the phone number and mail ID in the process.
Once the registration is completed, simply log in with the User ID and password and start booking tickets online. IRCTC offers to check PNR inquiry, train schedule, seats availability, train status and train between stations.
